River Heights Outdoor Solutions was founded in 2007 out of a small garage in south Minneapolis and has grown into a full-service landscape design/build company. Since our inception, River Heights has put quality and customer satisfaction above all else. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile to make sure that our clients are satisfied with every aspect of their project.

Conveniently located in the south metro, River Heights services the entire Twin Cities area from commercial property maintenance to residential landscape design and install. We have the knowledge and skill to tackle any landscape project.

Nick Marsden

With over 20 years of experience in the landscape industry, Nick is our resident expert on everything. When Nick is not managing crews and making sure everything runs smoothly, you can find him relaxing at home with his family, shooting hoops, or raising chickens.

Office Manager

Lindsey Marsden

Lindsey keeps our accounts in order, the lights on, and bills paid. Lindsey enjoys pickleball, camping, and traveling with Nick and their three daughters.

Landscape Manager

Gabe Long

Gabe is a master craftsman at all things landscape. Square edges and happy customers is what he is all about. Even outside of work, you can always find him tinkering on a project.

Construction Manager

Ryan Callahan

Ryan knows his way around a tape measure and comes to River Heights with decades of experience in the construction industry. When not ripping fence boards or fastening pergolas, you can find him coaching youth sports or catching the latest Twins or Wild games.

Maintenance Manager

Joe Van den Berghe

Joe has mastered the art of Property Prestige. Whether enhancing curb appeal, managing winter maintenance challenges, or elevating properties to their full potential, he is always eager to achieve the results his customers desire. Joe enjoys fishing, hunting, and camping.

Chad Folstad

Chad brings over 15 years of expertise to the field, showcasing a diverse portfolio that spans urban landscapes and expansive new construction projects. His passion for creating stunning outdoor spaces is paralleled only by his love for adventure, evident in his pursuits of mountain biking, dirt biking, vintage motorcycle restoration, camping, fly fishing, and extensive travels.

Maria Noga

Drawing inspiration from the inherent beauty of the land, Maria possesses a keen eye for detail, expertly crafting spaced that evoke serenity and functionality. When not sketching ideas on paper, she enjoys hiking, antique hunting, and hanging out with her two cats.

Dakota graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture and a Minor in Ecological Restoration. Dakota believes in the transformative power of outdoor spaces, recognizing their potential to elevate lifestyles and foster a profound connection to the natural world.

Elizabeth Spillman

Liz has over 30 years of experience specializing in financial management, budgeting and operations. Dedicated to driving success through numbers. Liz is inspired by her husband and three adult children. In her free time, she likes to travel, spend time with family and anything outdoors.

Landscape Designer

Mike Morrison

Mike executes simple and elegant landscape interventions that blend plants and materials for beauty and functionality. He received a Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of MN. After the workday and after his girls are put to bed, he enjoys headlamp gardening and backyard bonfires.

Canine Culture Ambassador

Leo

Leo has taken on the prestigious role of Canine Culture Ambassador here at the office. His mission? To bring smiles, reduce stress, and create a paw-sitive atmosphere for everyone. His hobbies include chasing tennis balls (and occasionally returning them) and long walks in the park.
